Join the Durham Singers in a singing workshop, given by the award-winning, world-class Scottish soprano Katy Thomson. Click the 'Book Tickets' icon above to register and obtain a FREE ticket. Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
Proud graduate of Durham University, Katy is as in-demand on the concert platform as on the operatic stage, in a wide range of repertoire. She is an experienced and dedicated teacher, whose passion is infectious. Her workshop will be packed with fun, informative ways to get more from your singing, through exploring posture, breathing, and even performance psychology.
Towards the end of the afternoon, Katy will apply the skills you’ve learned to sections of Oliver Tarney’s St Mark Passion (music provided). The Durham Singers will be performing the work on 28 March 2026 in St Cuthbert’s Chapel, Ushaw.
